About
Getting to Know Me
A bit about who I am, how I work, and what you can expect.
Introduction
I work with individuals and couples who are navigating the many challenges of life. Although we cannot avoid suffering completely, we can learn to understand it, reduce it and live with it to the best of our ability. Individuals I work with struggle with anxiety, depression, loneliness, shame, self-doubt, and trauma. Couples and throuples who reach out to me are at an impasse in their relationships. They can't seem to make things work despite their best efforts and shared bonds.
Life can be difficult and complicated on our own and when navigating relationships. I offer a space where we can explore the emotions and memories that show up when you just want to feel content with what you have in life. So much around us impacts how we feel about ourselves and those we care about.
Let's explore... What if the problem is not you but rather the expectations placed on you by caregivers or society? What if your self-doubt traces back to moments you were told you weren't good enough? What if the arguments and conflict in your relationship are invitations to be understood and known?
What Guides My Practice
Affirming & Inclusive
This practice is a welcoming space for people of all gender identities, sexual orientations, relationship structures, and cultural backgrounds.
Anti-Oppressive
I recognize that personal struggles don't exist in a vacuum. Racism, homophobia, transphobia, and other forms of systemic oppression have real effects on mental health. I take that seriously in the session.
Client-Centred
You know your life better than I do. My goal is to help you feel heard and understood and to help you navigate the challenges you’re experiencing. What therapy looks like and where it goes is based on your needs.
Grounded & Direct
I'm warm, but I'll also be honest with you. Therapy works best when your therapist is willing to gently name what they notice, even when it's uncomfortable.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
